A new research has found that eating a handful of berries daily can significantly help us in reducing weight.
Research conducted by Yves Desjardins, of Canada’s Laval University, has found that it is possible to lose 10% of the body weight and stop further weight gain by eating a handful of berries daily.
Polyphenol compounds found in berries such as strawberries have the ability to enhance the dominance of good microflora in the gut that helps in reducing obesity.
The research has also found that good microflora in the gut helped to alter the insulin sensitivity and thus reduced the chances of getting obesity-linked type II diabetes.
If we want to be lean or healthy, we have to restore the gut balance by encouraging the good bacteria in the gut. For that, we have to consume a handful of berries regularly for a particular period to get the health benefits.
